INSARAG AWARENESS TRAINING
The international INSARAG Awareness Course took place in hotel Červená nad Vltavou (South Bohemia) from 3 to 4 February 2010. This event was arranged by the General Directorate of the Fire and Rescue Service (Ministry of Interior of the CZ) in cooperation with UN –OCHA (United Nations - Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs). The INSARAG Awareness training module was designed to train the participants in international coordination methodology in accordance with the INSARAG Guidelines. At the end of the training, the participants were familiarized with the international Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) response coordination system, with specific reference to earthquakes and collapsed structure rescue and the responsibilities of stakeholders as stated at the INSARAG Guidelines.
